Environmentally Friendly Vehicles

As a business which utilises many vehicles CitySprint recognises that our business practices have a considerable impact on the environment. In response to this we are continually searching for lower emissions or alternative vehicles for our fleet.

Examples of environmentally friendly vehicles we have in our fleet include:

  • Pushbikes - CitySprint’s pushbike fleet has been established for over 20 years and is one of the largest in the UK. Pushbikes offer a carbon neutral solution for City deliveries. Subject to location and availability.
  • Vectrix motorbike - The world's first zero-emission electric motorbike.
  • Smiths Electric Van - We are currently testing the world's first zero-emission electric van.
  • Smart Cars - The low capacity engines on Smart cars means that we can offer a vehicle with low emissions that is well suited to City deliveries. Subject to location and availability.

Environmental Analysis and Reports

CitySprint has developed an environmental programme which enables us to work in partnership with our customers. We are able to provide analysis and reports based on the amount of carbon produced from your courier deliveries and can then provide advice on how you could reduce the amount of emissions by selecting an alternative vehicle.

Reports available include:

  • Carbon Calculator
  • Carbon Optimiser

Report

Description

Carbon Calculator

(Step 1)

Calculates the amount of CO2 emissions produced by a Company using courier services. It then provides the amount it would cost to offest the carbon emitted and become Carbon Neutral.

Carbon Optimiser

(Step 2)

This report follows on from the Carbon Calculator and illustrates how a Company may reduce CO2 emissions by using environmentally friendly vehicle alternatives. The report shows the difference that using alternative vehicles could make to the level of CO2 emissions produced.

Emission Examples

Small VanSmall Van 10 Mile Journey = 2,288g (2.29kg) Carbon Emissions
