The mobile data solution utilises hand held mobile units – CityTrakkers – to network its national fleet of over 1200 vehicles. Jobs are despatched to the CityTrakker. Using this hand held device the courier accepts the job and takes an electronic signature from the customer upon delivery. All of this information is automatically uploaded onto CitySprint’s OnLine system which enables the customer to see when the job was despatched, what time it was delivered and who signed for it. This leading edge solution provides the customer with complete transparency and peace of mind. The solution has enabled CitySprint to improve its customer service as well as courier earning potential as jobs are now automatically despatched to the most appropriately positioned courier.

Bright Interactive is a software consultancy that delivers high quality interactive websites, web applications, databases and custom business software.

CitySprint worked with Bright Interactive to develop the CitySprint web site and is also working on re-developing both the WestOne Passenger Cars and drive-U-home web sites. This was a major project that involved an audit of CitySprint’s customers, an understanding of how they might interact with the website and how we could enhance the site to match their requirements.

The result is a fully interactive site that provides information about CitySprint and its service as well as a fully functional booking and tracking facility.

The site is a major improvement of the previous Internet presence and has been very well received by CitySprint’s customers.
