CitySprint's Technology:We were the first courier company to launch a national, live courier-tracking system – CourierLocator – which enables our customers to view a real-time map location of the courier undertaking their SameDay Courier job. This leading-edge technology offers our customers complete transparency of their courier bookings and unrivalled customer service. With CourierLocator you won’t be told your courier ‘is just around the corner’ unless he really is!
How does it work?
All of our couriers are equipped with GPS enabled hand held computers (CityTrakkers), which transmit information to and from our system in real time. This means that we know the exact location of each of our couriers across the UK.
When you book, either by phone or OnLine through our website, our system identifies those couriers who are able to do your job. Our recommended carrier software then selects the optimum courier. Job details are sent electronically to the courier who then acknowledges the receipt of the information on their CityTrakker and confirms acceptance of the job. As the courier proceeds to the collection point and onward through to delivery, the CourierLocator software tracks the courier’s movements in real time.
Customers can view the exact progress of their deliveries in real time OnLine and the information can also be sent directly to CitySprint’s customers’ own clients via an emailable hyperlink.
QuikTrak enables CitySprint customers to view the time stamped audit trail of their job in PDF format, including a proof of delivery signature once the job is completed.
CityTrakkers are the GPS enabled mobile data units carried by all of our couriers. Couriers receive their jobs electronically through the CityTrakker and then confirm acceptance of the job, the pick up and the delivery of the packages.
All of the information is automatically uploaded onto CitySprint OnLine for customers to view the status of their deliveries. When the delivery is complete the recipient signs the CityTrakker as proof of delivery and the signature is sent electronically back to our system where it can then be viewed through QuikTrak.
