UK same day Fuel Surcharge
The surcharge is linked to the consumer price in Sterling (GBP) of diesel fuel inclusive of duties and taxes, as measured by the European Commission Directorate General for Energy and Transport and published in the Oil Bulletin.

The UK same day oil value for March 2013 was £1,455.58, this sets the fuel surcharge for jobs in May 2013 at 5.00%. (last updated 30th April 2013)
Q – What has changed?
A - We have introduced a variable fuel surcharge for our same day services in line with our UK Overnight and International services.
Q – What happens if fuel prices come down?
A – As this is a variable fuel surcharge, the Fuel Surcharge % can go down as well as up. Therefore should fuel prices decrease, the Fuel Surcharge % will also decrease in line with the scale shown.
Q – Why is this being implemented now?
A - CitySprint have always done everything possible to give you great value for money. To date, we've held off implementing a fuel surcharge, even when our competitors have. But now, because of persistent pressure on our courier fuel costs, we now need to implement this
Q – Will your couriers benefit from this surcharge?
A – The Fuel Surcharge will be passed on directly to the couriers to assist them with current fuel costs.

Q - Why is there a disparity in the % charged between services?
A - The SameDay Courier Service is already a premium service and as such the surcharge will always be less than the UK Overnight surcharge. However both will always reference the same fuel prices.
Q - Will the price quoted be inclusive of the fuel surcharge?
A - Yes, from March 1st, prices quoted at the point of booking will be inclusive of the fuel surcharge. However, as the fuel surcharge is variable month on month, pricelists and tariffs will not include it.

The surcharge will be based on the Jet Price Fuel Monitor as published by
IAT. Prices are expressed in (USD) per US gallon.
