The service provides ASOS customers with much greater flexibility, enabling them to make the most of one of their key internet shopping windows - between 7.00pm and 11.00pm in the evening.
Orders received by midnight are collected by CitySprint from ASOS’ central distribution centre and delivered as normal between 6.00pm and 9.00pm the next day.
Robert Muldoon, Customer Delivery Manager, ASOS comments: "We have developed a new shopping experience for our customers, which extends the time they can shop and still gives them the ability to receive their order the next day between 6pm and 9pm - seven days a week. This is the perfect solution for our customers who lead hectic lifestyles but also have a big appetite to shop. CitySprint’s creative solution is really helping us make a difference, allowing us to compete with the high street’s extended opening times."
ASOS introduced the new service to its customers in London first and has recently extended it to customers in Leeds and Manchester. Since the service was launched, delivery order volumes have doubled.
Bel Shergill, Retail Sector Manager, CitySprint adds: "We are delighted to be working with ASOS on this very exciting venture, which seems to have really captured the imagination of their customers. We saw a way to help ASOS extend the order window during peak online traffic time and ensure speedy delivery. It's a solution that appears to be working well. We're maintaining a 99% delivery success rate and have a dedicated support team to supplement ASOS' own customer relations team. Our respective IT systems and teams are fully integrated to ensure ASOS customers know exactly what’s happening and when."
The twilight service costs £9.95. It will soon be extended further to customers in Liverpool and Nottingham.
