Athena Gifts, which sells an array of high quality, handmade jewellery and gifts sourced from local suppliers, was set up in 2010 by local business woman Emma Crawford. The website launched in May 2010 and the shop - which is located on 49 Rose Street, Aberdeen, AB10 1UB – opened in November 2010 and since then Athena Gifts has gone from strength to strength.

Athena Gifts launched the SameDay delivery service in Scotland at the beginning of March and so far has had a positive response from customers.

Emma Crawford, owner of the gift shop, explains "I wanted to be able to offer my customers something different and wanted to stand out from the competition. I realised that a large number of my customers were those looking for a 'last minute' gift and, after discussing with CitySprint, decided that offering a SameDay service would make the process even easier for customers – especially local PAs tasked with sourcing a last minute birthday / leaving / thank you gift on behalf of the office!

With our SameDay service customers can simply call us, advise what their budget is and what they are looking for and / or the occasion and CitySprint will deliver the gift to them, beautifully gift wrapped, on the same day! We have received a positive response from customers so far as no other competitors currently offer this service, apart from florists.
