CitySprint completes acquisition of courier operations

CitySprint has successfully completed the acquisition of Lewis Day’s courier operations, with CitySprint Healthcare acquiring the courier operations of Medical Services Limited, consolidating its position as the UK’s leading SameDay courier and distribution network.

The new combined operations will expand CitySprint's scale and reach providing customers with an enhanced service through its 2,000 couriers and 35 ServiceCentres, handling over 15,000 transactions per day.

Patrick Gallagher, Chief Executive of CitySprint commented: "The completion of these deals is a major achievement which marks a significant milestone in the evolution of CitySprint.  It gives us greater capacity and scope to deliver excellent service to our customers.  This is a very exciting time for the business."

CitySprint received debt finance from RBS and was advised by Squire, Sanders and Hammonds.
