A closer look at how we’re celebrating the dedicated week that recognises the vital role of customer service and commemorating the colleagues who deliver exceptional service every day.

Taking place annually during the first week of October, National Customer Service Week celebrates the vital role customer service plays in our businesses and communities. Whether it’s spotlighting the great people who support your customers, reinforcing the behaviours that make excellent service last, or simply recognising the big and small customer service wins that happen regularly, this week is about honouring the impact of outstanding service.

As a business that proudly boasts an impressive ‘Excellent’ Trustpilot rating with over 15,000 reviews, we place immense value on our colleagues’ commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This week at our Bristol service centre, we are hosting a variety of activities to show our appreciation and reward our customer service colleagues’ everyday efforts.

Each day this week, there will be a quiz, a treasure hunt, and a fun activity—each tied to a preset daily theme. At the end of the week, the top points scorer will win a prize money that simply can’t be bought: an extra day of annual leave! Although the activities aim to be a bit of fun between colleagues, their true purpose is to showcase what customer service is really all about.

  • Monday – Evolving customer needs
  • Tuesday – ‘Service with respect’ Day
  • Wednesday – Productivity, growth and innovation
  • Thursday – Employee engagement
  • Friday – ‘Customer service recognition’ Day

Today, our Group CEO Jon Stockton will join the customer service team in Bristol to take part in the day’s festivities. However, the highlight of the week promises to be Friday, when colleagues will be recognised through nominations for the ‘Delivering what matters’ awards. These quarterly awards celebrate team members who embody our company values in their everyday work. We’re confident there will be plenty of nominations for our customer service team, after all, they are an award-winning group.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our customer service team, who consistently provide our customers with excellent service, all while keeping a smile on their faces. We’d also like to offer our utmost gratitude to our self-employed drivers, who ensure our customers receive outstanding service right up to the moment their parcels are safely in their hands.
