Building relationships in the communities we work in is part of who we are. As part of our ongoing programme to support local, we’re proud to announce our partnership with Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm.
Through our site in
Leeds, we are supporting the local charity who have worked with over 100,000 disadvantaged children in the city, offering them respite from difficult and sometimes abusive home lives.
Children supported by the charity are referred by schools or social workers in the most deprived areas of Leeds and are aged between 7 and 11. Those who receive help may have suffered from neglect, poverty, abuse or can even be young carers looking after a parent.
As a recognised “Business Hero” to the charity, we have made an initial contribution of £600 and have a fundraising target set at £2.5k per annum which goes towards sending three disadvantaged children to experience a week at Lineham Farm.
The farmhouse is now home to the charity after being converted into an outdoor children’s centre almost 23 years ago, offering an array of indoor and outdoor activities for children to join with both educational and relaxing purposes.
Building a connection with a charity that makes such a positive impact on young people’s lives is extremely rewarding for us and we look forward to seeing the direct benefits our support has on the local community that we live and work in.
