CitySprint upholds silver sustainability performance rating, scoring in the top 15% of businesses assessed by EcoVadis in our industry.
EcoVadis is an independent sustainability ratings body providing intelligence and collaborative performance improvement tools for businesses worldwide. It operates the first collaborative platform to allow companies to assess the environmental and social performance of their suppliers.
Evidence-based assessments
The internationally recognised ratings platform evaluates each organisations sustainability performance according to 21 defined factors based on international standards.
These are split in to four key performance areas:

Labour
Human Rights
Ethics
Sustainable Procurement
Reader-friendly scorecards are then generated from evidence-based assessments, giving 0-100 scores, and bronze, silver or gold medals as appropriate.
Benefits of having an EcoVadis rating
Using the EcoVadis approach allows CitySprint and our customers to easily understand our sustainability performance in the four listed areas, providing key insights on our strengths and improvement areas. Furthermore, the rating enables us to compare our sustainability performance against the industry benchmark.
Using our rating to improve performance
Earning a ‘Silver’ rating puts CitySprint in the top 15% of businesses assessed by EcoVadis in our industry for their sustainability efforts. Despite the introduction of new requirements in their scoring methodology, we have managed to improve our score by 4 points, achieving a notable 67/100, an improvement from last year’s score of 63/100.
This latest result not only acknowledges CitySprint’s achievements relative to our industry counterparts but more importantly, it highlights key milestones we have accomplished since June 2023. These include the implementation of monthly waste and energy reports, the integration of a carbon report within the MI pack, the introduction of our new Code of Conduct and Whistleblowing policy, comprehensive Incidents/SIR Reports, a HR Monthly dashboard, and the publication of our CSR brochure for 2023.
