Darren Taylor becomes an official Honorary Fellow

On Friday 28th February, the Institute of Couriers held their 2020 Fellow’s Gowning at the House of Lords.

CitySprint are delighted to announce that our Business Solutions Director, Darren Taylor, was inducted as a ceremonial fellow with 23 years and counting in the industry.

Darren’s illustrious career with CitySprint began in 1997 as a Regional Manager, he has since taken on several roles including General Manager, Chief Development Officer, and is now undertaking the role of Business Solutions Director.

With his technological expertise, he was a key part of the team behind the growth of the greatly successful Evening Delivery service; offering fast store-to-consumer deliveries for some of the biggest retailers in the UK.

Some of Darren’s other notable achievements include:

​ Being the executive sponsor in partnership with Waitrose for the launch of the “Waitrose Rapid” delivery service.

 Implementing the UK industry’s largest courier contract on behalf of a major government body.

 Winning a contract and leading a team on behalf of an independent criminal jurisdiction service, following the disbandment of a government transport agency.

 Working alongside an international consulting, digital service, and software business, leading a team to create a bespoke secure patient record movements service.


The impact that Darren has had on the business since joining has been huge. His varied skillset has proved an invaluable asset to the company, and CitySprint would like to thank and congratulate Darren on all his success.
