On Saturday, 8th November 2025, CitySprint and Absolutely proudly joined DPD and seven other leading logistics companies to take part in the Lady Mayor’s Show.

The show featured a grand procession through the City of London and is one of London’s most iconic annual events. This year was especially historic, marking Dame Susan Langley’s appointment as the third female Mayor of London and the first ever to hold the title of Lady Mayor.

Months of preparation went into making the day a success, from selecting branded vehicles and designing uniforms to coordinating the ten coveted parade spots per company. The excitement began on Friday, as the Absolutely team added final touches, including decorating a cargo bike and inflating balloons in brand colours. Despite a minor setback when the balloons deflated overnight, the team’s enthusiasm didn’t waver.

On parade day, the teams gathered early and headed to Moorgate to join the procession. Positioned at number 40 out of 100, CitySprint and Absolutely proudly represented the UK logistics industry as cheering crowds lined the streets. The parade began at 10:45 am, showcasing London’s vibrant community spirit.

A standout moment came when Carly and Tina, as part of the VIP group, presented a stunning owl puppet to the Lady Mayor at Mansion House Place, a gesture coordinated by the Institute of Couriers. The first leg of the parade ran from London Wall to Aldwych, followed by a well-deserved lunch courtesy of the Girl Guides. After the break, the procession continued along Embankment back to London Wall.

A special thanks go to Mervyn Hayes and Jacques Gotts-Duffield, who served as manoeuvre captains for Absolutely and CitySprint, ensuring smooth coordination throughout the day. Their leadership kept the teams in perfect formation.

The celebration concluded with a lively debrief at the pub. Despite a few early challenges, the day was a resounding success showcasing teamwork, positivity, and brand pride. Here’s to an unforgettable experience and to doing it all again next year.
