We are thrilled to announce that CitySprint has been chosen as gold winner of the 'Best CSR Initiative' at this year's UK Business Awards.
The awards programme recognises and rewards organisations and individuals who have developed impressive business initiatives. It allows companies to come together and share the initiatives they are most proud of and each entry is meticulously examined by a panel of judges, so we are extremely proud that our CSR initiative has been recognised in this way.
Our extensive CSR programme focuses on the development of colleagues, supporting local businesses and charities as well as doing our part to minimise the impact our operations have on the environment. For us, creating and delivering an effective and innovative
CSR programme is a top priority. Since the launch in 2021, we have completed a number of great activities which fall in line with our CSR objectives.
We have partnered with the
Trussell Trust to support in their campaign to end UK hunger and poverty. To support this, we've seen a number of service centres up and down the country set up food donation points to donate much needed items to their local foodbanks. We've implemented a
colleague volunteer programme, where colleagues can donate their time and energy to a cause close to them, covered by CitySprint. To limit our carbon footprint, we have adopted a number of
zero-emission vehicles, with plans to expand this fleet over the coming year. This is only a handful of the great initiatives in place which brings our award-winning CSR strategy to life!
This award comes shortly after our newly adopted
carbon neutral status, certified by Carbon Neutral Britain. We work closely with CNB to ensure that our unavoidable carbon emissions are offsetted through a variety of
international projects. Every three months, they will measure our total emissions and offset these on our behalf.
