We are proud to announce our patrnership with anti-poverty charity, The Trussell Trust.
The charity supports a network of over 1,300 foodbanks across the UK providing emergency food supplies to people in crisis and campaigns for long-term change in communities, policies and ways of thinking to end the need for large-scale emergency food distribution.
Services provided by the foodbank network can vary depending on community needs but as standard include food donations that are sorted in to parcels by over 28,000 volunteers, and food vouchers issued by health visitors, staff at schools and social workers who have identified people most in need.
With the recent launch of our
CSR strategy in mind, our
Colleague Volunteer Programme offers an extra day of annual leave to CitySprint colleagues who donate a day of their time to volunteering with, or fundraising for the Trussell Trust.
Sarah Gibbs, CitySprint’s People Director, commented “Our business has, and always will, put people first, which is why we are honoured to partner with the Trussell Trust to support them in their mission to ensure everyone can afford the essentials in life in the UK. All of us at CitySprint are looking forward to getting involved with the Trussell Trust and raising as much money as we can to provide assistance to people that are facing hardship.”
As part of the partnership, we will be making a £20,000 contribution per year. In line with our commitment to support local communities we have also set a generous target of £150,000 worth of donations in 2022 to be split across all charities.
