Across the UK, people of all ages depend on Asda Pharmacy for NHS prescription delivery and on-site pharmacy services. Inevitably, the 2020 pandemic created a whole new range of challenges.   

Demand rose fast, and many customers could not collect their vital prescriptions because they were shielding, elderly or restricted by lockdown. So how did we maintain uncompromised customer care in these circumstances?

Ready in just 7 days

Asda Pharmacy turned to CitySprint to ensure seamless, reliable delivery when and where it was needed most. Our task was to clear the growing backlog of prescriptions and free up the Asda team so they could help customers face-to-face.
 
The CitySprint solution was approved and ready to go in just 7 days. Our Territory Manager liaised with individual pharmacies so we could deploy teams effectively, and a rapid booking line was established – via Asda’s intranet or by phone.

Keeping on track with local knowledge


To save precious time and keep within budget, communication at a local level was key to our success. Daily operational calls ensured that we were always on track, and customised reports allowed us to meet collection, delivery, returns and cost targets.

And the result? The CitySprint service has been a total success for Asda and their customers at a time when they needed failsafe support most, and we’re discussing new projects for the future.
