Our Corporate Social Responsibility Commitment

There are four pillars that guide our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility at CitySprint. These pillars represent the colleagues behind our brand, the communities in which we work, the courier and business community who work with us, and finally, our commitment to a cleaner, greener future.

Building a greener future
Doing the right thing for the environment, the communities in which we work and for the people who live, work and play in these communities is vital. It’s because of this that we have set a target to become a carbon neutral company by the end of 2023. We’ve been on a journey since 2007 to put our business in the best place possible to hit this target.

Empowering our people
The ‘Empowering our people’ pillar of our CSR strategy is all about supporting the wellbeing and development of our colleagues, celebrating diversity in our workforce and championing inclusion and accessibility. We are a team of 700 – and we’re growing. The CV19 pandemic has shown us how important supply chain is to the world economy. Because of this, it has never been a better time to be part of the logistics industry. The initiatives we’re focusing on to empower our people support both those already with the CitySprint family, and those who might be looking to join and build a career with us.

Supporting local communities
Our customers are nationwide, so we are too. With over 30 sites dotted across the UK, it’s important that we give back to the communities we’re a part of. ‘Supporting local communities’ is all about making a positive difference to the people and places we have a presence in.

Backing business
Proudly backing the UK SME community and local suppliers is crucial to who we are. At the start of 2020, small and medium enterprises in the UK accounted for 99.9% of the business population. And more importantly, SMEs employed 13.3m people. Not only do we support thousands of SME customers across the UK as they grow, over 3,500 couriers work with us to deliver every single day. Local businesses are the driving force of our economy and CitySprint.
