As the UK’s leading same day distribution network, we are pleased to announce our results for the year ending 31 December 2013, reporting another record level of revenues.
Summary of 2013
Record revenues for the year increased 11.4% to £112.7m (2012: £101.1m)
EBITDA increased by 15.4%
Increased revenues were as a result of both organic growth and acquisitions
Continued organic growth across all business operations:
- CitySprint Healthcare
- CitySprint Retail
- CitySprint Logistics
Ongoing investment in innovative technologies, expanding our suite of products available to customers which included:
- Launch of the CitySprint same day delivery tool, app ‘MyCourier’, an industry first
- New IT platform for CitySprint Logistics
Six acquisitions successfully integrated into the business in line with our strategy to leverage the Group’s business infrastructure
Commenting, Patrick Gallagher, CEO of CitySprint, said:
“2013 produced a very strong operational performance across all our market segments. Trading since the start of the year has been very strong across all of our sectors. CitySprint is in an excellent position to benefit from increasing demand as we continue to see high levels of activity in each of our core operations of Logistics, Healthcare and Retail.
“We expect to achieve further organic growth during 2014 and we will continue with our programme of investment in technology and our people. CitySprint’s financial strength and strong growth in sales across our sectors all underpin the Board's expectations of further profit growth in the current year alongside very good trading visibility for the business.”
