Last night, CitySprint took home a silver award at the UK Employee Experience Awards (UK EXA) 2023 for ‘Best CSR Initiative’!
The UK Employee Experience Awards are put on to recognise organisations who create a positive and fulfilling work environment by putting their employees first, for further learning, sharing, networking to create valuable relationships.
Delivering a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy is important to CitySprint and our values. At the heart of our progressive CSR effort are four core pillars: empowering individuals, supporting local communities, supporting business, and promoting a greener future. Our Commercial Director, Rosie Bailey delivered a case study on our comprehensive approach to CSR, explaining how employees and couriers' play a vital role in charity and sustainable programmes.
The award for ‘Best CSR Initiative’ focuses on organisations who encourage employees to help their communities with commitments towards charity fundraising and environmental efforts.
Initiatives recognised in the award entry recognise efforts from our teams who collectively raised over £156k in donations for over 20 charities, which also includes a contribution of £22k+ raised for the Trussell Trust as part of our senior leadership teams London to Brighton charity cycle ride in September 2022.
Our achievements towards being a sustainable delivery were also acknowledged after being verified as a carbon neutral business 18 months ahead of target. A monthly recycling performance report by site, resulting in 96% of CitySprint’s waste being diverted from landfill and our growing fleet of electric vans elevates our sustainability objectives.
This silver award is the latest accolade for our CSR efforts following, a gold award win for 'Best CSR Initative' at the UK Business Awards 2022.
