CitySprint sponsored Ashley Sutton has been crowned the BTCC champion in this year’s British Touring Car Championship!
The season began in April and finished just over a week ago and Ashley Sutton was crowned 2017 British Touring Car Champion. The 23-year-old became the youngest driver to win the coveted crown since John Fitzpatrick in 1966 and CitySprint are delighted to have been on this journey with him over the last six months.

The British Touring Car Championship is the most popular motorsport in the country, boasting an average of 850,000 spectators per race. Ashley began his motorsport career at the age of six, participating in the British MSA Formula Ford and Graduate Cup, before winning the Renault Clio Cup in 2015 with six race wins, 14 podium finishes, four pole positions and four fastest laps. He came back to the sport in 2014 after 2 and a half years of injury.
