SMEs financial health is on the rise
“It’s no surprise that concerns around international trade are the second biggest factor impacting SMEs as a result of Brexit, but their ambition to significantly increase international trade over the next 12 months show that this hasn’t hampered appetite for international growth. However, it’s disappointing that so many SMEs still don’t collaborate with others; business owners need to understand that by working together they will be able to weather the economic highs and lows and reach their ambitious growth plans - both at home and abroad – much faster.”
The Collaborate UK 2018 infographic shows UK SMEs are improving in financial health year on year since 2016. Companies who view Brexit as having a negative impact on business view uncertainty as the biggest factor. Despite this, nearly half of businesses have yet to make any preparations for these changes although close to half would like to grow their customer base or increase trade in Europe over the next 12 months. How will they find a solution?
