Ava May is an ecommerce retailer, specialising in hand crafted candles, wax melts and other home accessories. Founded a year ago by 24-year-old Hannah, she initially started working out of her kitchen but the business quickly grew and she now employs over 25 members of staff. Located in Andover she was between the
Reading service centre and
Southampton service centre. Due to the aggressive growth of the business the volume of orders began to increase overnight due to Hannah’s social media marketing strategy and they needed a courier partner who were able to help them with the sheer volume of orders they were receiving including
choosing an overnight courier service. Hannah wanted to start sending internationally with a courier but wanted a partner who could hold their hand in the beginning to ensure the process was smooth and streamlined.
CitySprint were able to provide Ava May with a bespoke solution whereby we send a courier at the end of each day to collect in excess of 400 parcels and inject them back into the appropriate delivery routes. This partnership gives Hannah and Ava May the flexibility in the number of orders they can dispatch each day along with the business confidence of delivery guarantees to their own customers.
Hannah was very keen to expand internationally but was previously unable to fulfil any overseas orders. With the new solution in place Ava May have been able to extend their delivery proposition and customer reach by cost effectively shipping to Europe, USA and beyond.
Ava May have significantly reduced delivery times by at least 2 days, as well as saving themselves time and money by finding a delivery partner they can rely on and trust to support them and take them to the next level of business growth with international expansion.
