SameDay service update

We’re currently operating our SameDay services at ‘near-normal’. We are experiencing very high call volumes so the fastest way to get your deliveries on the road is to book them online. See below if you haven’t already activated your online account.

UK Overnight and International service update

• International Express services are essentially running as-normally as possible. Restrictions exist where deliveries are to certain business-types (e.g. restaurants, bars, leisure facilities, retail, sports & entertainment etc.) and are in place in many countries.
• Service availability and service level may change with little notice and individual shipments may be affected by local circumstances.
• We continue to monitor the effects of this situation on our International Express services and work with our global partners to ensure we have the most up to date information. 

UKON services are experiencing some delays due to unprecedented demand on third party carriers. We encourage you to book online as it is the fastest way to schedule a delivery. Across the industry, fluxes in courier resource is expected. As the UK Government implement rules that will affect the majority of businesses in regard to site access and personnel numbers, we can expect disruption - however CitySprint will minimise this disruption as much as possible.

Our overnight delivery partners are experiencing a high level of unplanned absence in their operation as a result of COVID-related absences. These issues are particularly acute in some areas of the country where infection rates are at the highest. They are working hard to increase resource levels to safely ensure service levels are maintained and where delays do occur, to minimise them as much as we can.

• We have removed our service guarantee for next day deliveries due to operational restrictions in place.
• Some carriers we work with have amended delivery procedure eradicating driver contact with the consignee. Hand held devices will not be handed to the recipient. Driver to log name on hand held.
• Some third-party suppliers we use have suspended same day ad-hoc collections in favour of next day ones.

To make your booking seamless

• Utilise our International services online (www.citysprint.co.uk) and select ‘exception notifications’ option (customers will need to add an email address to ensure they receive an update in the event that their shipments are delayed).
• Be sure to include as much information as possible on shippers contact information to allow us to deliver first time where possible.
• Track your shipments online to get the latest information on the progress of your deliveries.
